TASC Research Services Inc. is a privately
owned company that has been involved in doing research in the Lower
Mainland, British Columbia, and Alberta since 1974. TASC's
prime area of expertise is vaccine research.
We offer service to the community as a Canadian centre that provides
the opportunity for participation in important studies to advance
vaccine availability. Many diseases that once proved fatal or debilitating
can now be prevented through vaccination.
Placing studies at research sites that are independent from the
maker of the vaccine is one of the important steps in obtaining
the high quality unbiased data needed to support licensing of new
and improved vaccines.
Our highly qualified team consists of registered nurses, clinical
research co-ordinators, research assistants and office support staff
under the direction of Principal Investigators (physicians who are
experts in the field being researched).

Our Investigators together, with the research team and the sponsors, dedicate their work to improve the quality of immunizations given to future generations of Canadians.
Over the past 30 years, TASC has enrolled
more than 20,000 subjects in clinical
trials. These trials have played a major role in the licensing of
important vaccine products in Canada and other countries.
Some examples of these include Gardasil (HPV) vaccine, pertussis products
such as Pentacel and Adacel, and vaccines for Haemophilus
influenza type b and poliomyelitis.
